Job summary

FedEx Corporation is seeking a Cyber Security Principal to lead security initiatives within our development teams. You will mentor engineers, drive risk-based security programs, and shape architecture across portfolios with autonomy to solve complex problems.

This hybrid role requires living within commutable distance to Memphis, TN or Plano, TX or Pittsburgh, PA, with on-site work at FedEx offices several times per week.

Qualifications

• Five (5+) years of IT information security experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, information systems, or equivalent training.
• Strong communication and consulting skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive the security strategy for your product area and lead multi-team security initiatives from concept to completion.
• Lead and facilitate threat modeling for large-scale systems and empower teams to conduct it.
• Review system architecture for security flaws and advocate for secure design patterns and standards.
• Design, build, and implement security automation to improve feedback for developers.
• Mentor product security and development engineers on security best practices and architecture.
• Influence cross-functional technical and architectural decisions to embed security as a foundation.
