Job summary

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. in Northbrook, IL is offering a 2027 Summer Intern: Cyber Security Intern position. This hybrid role provides hands-on exposure to governance, risk and compliance, vulnerability management, cloud security, and security operations.

You will gather requirements, design and test security solutions, and contribute to automation while gaining real-world experience on a global cybersecurity team during a 10-12 week project.

Qualifications

• Rising senior pursuing a bachelor's in Cyber Security or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with basic computer and spreadsheet tools.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Learn across multiple security domains including GRC, vulnerability and risk management, information security and awareness, cloud security, and Security Operations.
• Assist in supporting cybersecurity projects by gathering requirements for development, designing and testing security solutions.
• Support enhancement and deployment of security solutions and contribute to automation initiatives.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity, IT and business stakeholders to identify requirements, risks and decisions.
• Develop project updates, dashboards, and briefing materials for leadership.
