Job summary

ERCOT is offering a Summer Internship Program for students pursuing degrees in cyber security and related fields. The Cyber Security Intern will work on projects across various security domains, gaining exposure to Security Operations, Identity and Access Management, incident response, governance, and more.

The role runs 40 hours per week during the summer and is onsite at our Texas facilities. We welcome students with a GPA of 3.0 or better and encourage graduates to apply.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic cyber security concepts and principles.
• Basic knowledge of networks and IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cyber security projects, assessments, research, and operational activities.
• Support identification, analysis, documentation, and remediation of cyber security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Assist with reviewing security alerts, events, and trends.
