Job summary

Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD, is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer III to lead security practices across programs. You will interface with customers and internal teams, support certifications, and drive security initiatives to completion.

Responsibilities include preparing SOWs, basis of estimates, and earnings analysis while mentoring junior staff. A TS/SSBI-ready candidate with strong communication will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of professional related experience.
• Experience with Windows, Red Hat Linux, virtual environments, and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Familiarity with RMF.
• Experience supporting FISMA audits and assessments.
• Experience with STIGs/SCAP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

• Serve as Cyber Security Product point of contact at program level meetings and communicate security best practices to ensure product compliance.
• Interface with internal and external customers to meet and exceed expectations.
• Support Army Interoperability Certification (AIC), ACA/SCA, FISMA and POA&M events.
• Identify and lead cyber security improvement initiatives (process, procedures, education).
• Prepare and present cyber security work products to internal and external reviews.
• Generate Statements of Work and monitor contractor performance.
• Prepare basis of estimates and manage Earned Value for design/development cost accounts as Control Account Manager.
• Provide technical direction and approve cyber security work products of junior staff.
• Interact daily with program managers, planners, and technicians.
• Drive tasks to completion independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Cyber Security Product point of contact at internal and external program level meetings and communicate best security practices in an effective and clear manner to ensure compliance of our products.
• Interface with customers (Internal and External) directly and effectively to represent Textron Systems’ ability to meet and surpass customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or other Engineering or Technical discipline
• 5 years of professional related experience
• High level understanding of operating system security settings, configuration, and policies (Windows, Red Hat and/or other Linux) virtual environments, and/or scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
• Able to work in team environments and independently
• Familiarity and practical experience with Risk Management Framework
• Experience with STIG application, testing, and compliance
• Experience writing and/or assisting with security authorization documentation and certification procedures
• Experience supporting FISMA audits and Assessment events
• Experience using Nessus, ACAS, NMAP, DISA STIGS, SCAP, IAVAs
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Ability to write procedures and other informative correspondence
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret security regulations
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve information security issues
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

$110,500 - $167,900 per year.
