About The Role
Sentara Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Infrastructure Engineer to join its dynamic team. This fully remote position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced cybersecurity professionals to contribute to the organization’s enterprise security infrastructure. The Senior Cybersecurity Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting advanced identity and access management solutions, primarily utilizing the Saviynt platform. The role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in cybersecurity, software engineering, and system integration, capable of managing complex projects independently and coaching junior team members. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in enhancing the organization’s security posture by developing automated processes, supporting compliance activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of security solutions across various enterprise systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, IAM, or related fields, with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Alternatively, 7+ years of experience without a degree is acceptable.
- Proven expertise in implementing and supporting Saviynt Identity Governance solutions for at least 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle management, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, role management, and access certifications.
- Experience integrating IAM platforms with enterprise systems such as Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, HR systems, databases, and cloud applications.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Java, JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, and SQL.
- Deep understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Segregation of Duties (SoD), privileged access management, and access governance best practices.
- Experience troubleshooting complex IAM platform issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing system enhancements.
- Ability to develop and support application integrations using REST APIs, web services, and automation frameworks.
- Experience supporting security audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory requirements related to identity and access management.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, configuring, testing, and deploying complex IAM and Identity Governance Administration (IGA) solutions using the Saviynt platform to meet enterprise security and compliance requirements.
- Developing custom software components, workflows, connectors, and integrations between Saviynt and various enterprise systems, including Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP directories, cloud applications, databases, and HR systems.
- Analyzing business and technical requirements to craft scalable identity lifecycle management solutions, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, role management, and access reviews.
- Engaging in software engineering activities such as coding, scripting, debugging, testing, and deploying IAM applications and integrations.
- Implementing automated identity management workflows, including account provisioning, role-based access controls, and policy management.
- Developing and maintaining REST APIs, web services, and ETL processes to facilitate secure data exchange across enterprise environments.
- Engineering and supporting Saviynt security controls, identity repositories, and compliance monitoring tools to meet organizational and regulatory standards.
- Conducting complex data analysis to enhance security, operational efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Performing system design reviews, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing enhancements to improve platform performance, scalability, and security.
- Creating dashboards, reports, and analytics related to identity governance, user access, audit findings, and security metrics using Saviynt reporting tools.
- Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to design and implement IAM solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Preparing operational documentation, technical specifications, and system architecture diagrams to support ongoing maintenance and audits.
- Supporting security audits, compliance assessments, and certification activities by providing technical expertise and evidence documentation.
- Researching emerging IAM, cybersecurity, and cloud identity technologies to enhance organizational capabilities.
- Continuously improving IAM processes, security controls, automation frameworks, and system performance.
- Participating in on-call support schedules to ensure 24/7 system availability and incident response.
