Job summary

ASD Global-Public Sector seeks a cybersecurity engineer to translate mission objectives and operational requirements into robust system security requirements and engineering specifications. The role requires a TS clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI and an ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent progress within 9 months.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in Cybersecurity Engineering, Information Assurance, or Security Architecture, with knowledge across the system development life cycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• ITIL Foundation v4 certification or ability to obtain within 9 months.
• 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, Information Assurance, or Security Architecture.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH, or equivalent advanced cybersecurity credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate mission objectives and operational requirements into system security requirements and engineering specifications.
• Participate in system engineering reviews, including requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews, and operational readiness reviews.
• Integrate cybersecurity requirements throughout the complete system life cycle.
• Evaluate system designs for security, resilience, reliability, and interoperability.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity artifacts, including system security plans, risk assessments, remediation plans, contingency plans, and security test documentation.
• Define security architecture patterns for identity and access management and privileged access management.

• Experience translating mission objectives, operational needs, threats, and policy requirements into measurable system security requirements.
• Experience participating in systems engineering technical reviews and security architecture assessments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements throughout the system development life cycle.
• Experience developing and reviewing security architecture diagrams, data-flow diagrams, network diagrams, and system security documentation.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH, or equivalent advanced cybersecurity credentials are preferred.
