Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support cybersecurity issues and systems, reporting to the Director of Technical Services.

The role will establish new cyber security protocols and policies and maintain existing security software to safeguard EU’s information and systems. The position emphasizes privacy and security risk identification, threat detection, and clear security reporting, with strong collaboration across teams and adherence to security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of demonstrated experience in enterprise cyber security work is required.
• Blue Team Level 1 certification is also required.
• Experience in higher education is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify privacy and security concerns.
• Provide technical support for security MDR/EDR suites.
• Lead development and execution of security programs and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures.
• Participate in threat hunting and threat detection.
• Participate in fraud detection and mitigation.
• Analyze malicious behavior.
• Develop and communicate technical security reports.
• Advise management of security risks.
