Job summary

Everforth ECS in Falls Church, VA seeks a Cyber Assessment & Authorization / Technical Writer to manage RMF/ATO processes and create clear, comprehensive documentation for DHA and DoD IT systems. The role blends hands-on security administration with expert technical writing and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Management Systems or similar.
• 7+ years of experience producing technical documentation and diagrams for DHA and DoD IT systems, processes and procedures.
• IAT II level cybersecurity certifications such as the CompTIA Sec+.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible written materials for varied audiences.
• Experience managing RMF/ATO processes and responding to deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle vulnerability mitigation, software updates and patching and administrative system support for the team.
• Manage the RMF and ATO efforts for the division.
• Develop, edit, and maintain program and technical documentation including SOPs, CONOPS, project plans, status reports, meeting materials, process documents, policy inputs, and ad hoc requests as needed.
• Work with program leaders, technical SMEs, administrative staff, and external stakeholders to gather inputs and produce polished communications and documentation.
