Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a cybersecurity-focused intern to join its College to Corporate (C2C) Internship Program in Charlotte, NC. You will work full-time for a 10-week summer term, gaining hands-on experience protecting systems, data, and clients through mentorship and structured development.

You’ll build technical, analytical, and business skills while developing leadership capabilities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, collaborating with Agile teams and across Vanguard's security,

Qualifications

• This internship seeks students pursuing CS/cybersecurity/IT/risk degrees.
• Interest in cybersecurity, threat analysis, risk management, or fraud prevention.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Curiosity about how systems can be protected and improved.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity and operational risks.
• Analyze potential threats, vulnerabilities, and fraud-related activity.
• Assist in developing reports, dashboards, or insights that support risk-informed decision-making.
• Partner with security, technology, and business teams to strengthen controls and processes.
• Gain exposure to cybersecurity frameworks, risk management practices, and digital ethics.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to contribute to ongoing initiatives and solutions.
• Build connections with peers, mentors, and leaders across Vanguard.
• Receive ongoing coaching and feedback to support your development.
