Job summary

Peraton Labs is seeking Summer 2027 Cyber Research Interns to work across multiple offices including Bedford, NH, Silver Spring, MD, Basking Ridge, NJ and West Lafayette, IN. You will design DL models for threat detection, create cyber deception tech, and produce PoCs for government and commercial customers.

You are a current student in CS/ML/Cybersecurity, with hands-on Python (PyTorch/TensorFlow) or C/C++, plus Linux/Windows knowledge and strong communication.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and active pursuit of BS/BA, MS or PhD in CS/ML/Cybersecurity or related field.
• US Citizenship required.
• Currently enrolled as a BS/BA student or higher in relevant field.
• Hands-on experience Python (PyTorch / TensorFlow) or C/C++.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows platforms.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement state-of-the-art Deep Learning models to detect cyber security threats.
• Design and implement cyber deception technologies to deter adversaries.
• Conduct literature surveys on cyber deception and adversarial attacks.
• Develop PoCs demonstrating research findings.
• Prepare documentation and presentations summarizing research results.
• Collaborate with team and integrate PoCs into a unified tech.
• Develop plans for transferring technology to Government customers.
• Engage in Full-Spectrum cyber operations and vulnerability research.
