Join our team of professionals who support large-scale government operations by leveraging cutting-edge technology and take your career to the next level!

Chronos Operations (CO) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation based in Anchorage, AK. Belonging to the Military, Intelligence, and Operations Support (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Chronos has a culture rooted in integrity, respect, and exceptional performance. Chronos is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, and provides mission-critical services in Advanced Analytics & AI, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Intelligence.

Chronos Operations, LLC is seeking a qualified Cyber Project Management Specialist to provide end-to-end project coordination, integrated master scheduling, and compliance tracking for mission-critical defense operations supporting the Army Materiel Command (AMC) Headquarters at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.

This role serves as a key operational bridge between cybersecurity technical teams, program management leadership, and Department of Defense (DoD) stakeholders. The Cyber Project Management Specialist ensures that complex Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity programs achieve baseline milestones, remain compliant with federal cybersecurity mandates, and align with strategic mission objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Multi-Project Execution & Lifecycle Delivery
    • Concurrent Project Leadership: Actively direct, track, and report on 2 to 5 active projects across their full delivery lifecycle from kickoff through final delivery.
    • Integrated Master Scheduling: Build, baseline, and maintain contract-compliant Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and milestone tracking plans.
    • Delivery Cadence Facilitation: Facilitate project rhythms—including sprint planning, milestone progress checks, standups, and release reviews— to maintain team momentum.
    • Blocker Removal: Identify critical-path dependencies, remove cross-team obstacles, and shield technical teams from administrative friction.
    • Tool-Driven Agile Delivery: Leverage Jira and GitLab to configure and manage project boards (Scrum/Kanban), track issue velocity, groom backlogs, map dependencies, and manage sprint execution.
  • Requirements Elicitation & Process Gathering
    • Requirements Gathering & Discovery: Lead stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, and workshops to elicit, clarify, and capture functional, technical, and operational requirements across active projects.
    • Process Mapping & Workflow Analysis: Document current-state ("as-is") processes and design optimized future-state ("to-be") operational workflows to translate stakeholder needs into actionable delivery plans.
    • Requirements Documentation & Traceability: Author clear business/system requirement documents, user stories, and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM) to ensure deliverables satisfy original mission criteria.
    • Operational Gap Analysis: Analyze existing procedural workflows to identify operational bottlenecks, dependencies, and process modernization opportunities.
  • Risk, Scope & Change Governance
    • Risk & Issue Management: Maintain active Risk, Actions, Decisions, and Issues (RADI) logs across all assigned projects to preempt schedule slips.
    • Scope Baseline Control: Enforce formal change-control processes to evaluate project impacts and mitigate scope creep.
    • Milestone Gate Compliance: Track governance gates, security review periods, testing phases, and customer acceptance criteria across all workstreams.
  • Resource Balancing & Capacity Planning
    • Cross-Project Workload Monitoring: Balance workload allocation across the 2 to 5 projects to prevent burnout, excessive context-switching, and resource contention.
    • Variance & Trend Analysis: Perform schedule, milestone, and burn-rate variance analysis to provide reliable forecast delivery dates and lead times.
  • Stakeholder Reporting & PMO Alignment
    • Informational Products & Reviews: Prepare and deliver clear, data-driven status presentations for:
      • Monthly Program Management Reviews (PMRs)
      • Weekly Senior Management and PMO sync meetings
  • Performance Metrics & Dashboards: Maintain status dashboards tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and project milestones for program leadership.
  • Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in project and program coordination, with at least 1+ years specifically managing project coordination support for large-scale cybersecurity projects and programs that include IT and OT based systems.
  • 2+ years of DoD experience
    • Hands-on experience utilizing Jira, GitLab, or equivalent enterprise project management and issue-tracking platforms to manage workflows, sprints, and task backlogs
  • Must have active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS with SCI eligibility.
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
  • Agile Familiarity: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or practical familiarity facilitating Scrum/Kanban workflows.
  • Contract & IMS Acumen: Prior experience building and maintaining resource-loaded schedules within DoD acquisition or PMO environments.
  • Cyber and/or IT Technical Project Management Experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Requirements & Process Analysis: Requirements elicitation, user story creation, process flowcharts/workflows (BPMN, As-Is/To-Be modeling), Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM), and gap analysis.
  • Project Scheduling & Control: Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Critical Path Method (CPM), and dependency mapping.
  • Project Management Software: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Jira, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and Microsoft Excel (advanced data tracking and modeling).
  • Delivery Frameworks: Agile (Scrum/Kanban), Waterfall, and Hybrid project lifecycles.
  • Governance & Risk Controls: RADI/RAID logging, change impact analysis, and deliverable quality tracking.
  • Executive Communication: High-level stakeholder briefing, PMR artifact development, and cross-functional leadership alignment.
  • Ability to meet minimum clearance requirements.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
