• Gather and analyze information to prepare status reports.
• Ensure operations follow AIR-RT SOP and scheduling systems.
• Prepare reports for management and maintain all essential records.
• Close and document cyber operations in scheduling systems.
• Determine schedule compliance and identify reasons for deviations.

Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Cyber Operations Planner (Logistics, Senior Analyst) to support the daily operations of the Naval Aviation Red Team (AIR‑RT) located at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD. The successful candidate will work closely with the operations team and customer organizations to shape upcoming cyber operations, develop plans for how the team will conduct them, ensure the team is meeting objectives during the operation, then be responsible for developing the after‑action report that will be delivered to the customer after the operation is completed.

This position is and requires an on‑site schedule and is eligible for a compressed work schedule (CWS). Schedule is subject to change based on company or contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AIR‑RT operations staff, planners, operators, and analysts to design detailed plans for upcoming cyber operations, ensuring all activities align with mission objectives and customer expectations.
• Participate in targeting selection, validation, synchronization, and integration of cyber actions throughout the full operation lifecycle.
• Monitor execution of cyber operations to ensure objectives are met, then lead development of comprehensive after‑action reports for delivery to the customer.
• Gather and analyze information to prepare status reports.
• Ensure that assignment and scheduling of cyber operations follow AIR-RT Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Prepare reports for management and maintain all essential records and reports.
• Ensure that all cyber operations are properly documented and closed in scheduling systems.
• Determine the level of schedule compliance and identifies reasons for completion shortfalls.

Required Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience performing work related to the responsibilities listed above
• General understanding of penetration testing or red‑team concepts, including common tools and methodologies used to achieve cyber objectives
• Broad technical understanding of system and network design fundamentals
• Strong communication skills and familiarity with project management principles
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast‑paced operational environments

Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD cyber operations or red‑team activities
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment frameworks and cyber threat analysis

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, six additional (6) years of relevant work experience may be substituted.

For this position, the projected compensation range is $89,207 - $133,811. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL’s complete compensation package.
