Job summary

FBI in the United States is recruiting for the Special Agent role (GL-09/GL-10). Requirements include U.S. citizenship, a bachelor’s degree or higher, a Top-Secret clearance eligibility, and the ability to carry a firearm.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S. accredited college or university.
• One year of full-time sworn law enforcement experience and a BA/BS, or a master's/doctorate with no work experience.
• Eligible for Top-Secret SCI clearance.
• Able to legally possess a firearm.
• Must be at least 23 and not yet 37 at appointment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws.
• Exercise judgement, resourcefulness, and versatility to meet investigative demands.
• Create and maintain liaison with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial and international agencies.
• Coordinate and/or participate in searches, seizures, and arrests.
• Carry a firearm and be willing to use force if necessary.
• Maintain a high level of physical fitness to perform law enforcement duties.
