Collins Aerospace is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Engineering Specialist to join our team and support secure technology operations. In this role, you will deploy new technologies, including hardware and software, in secure environments, ensuring compliance with stringent security requirements. You will recommend appropriate hardware for procurement, configure and prepare equipment for use in secure areas, and contribute to the technical planning and implementation of our current secure facilities. Additionally, you will provide essential support to staff, including password resets and facilitating secure data transfers. A key aspect of this role involves cultivating strong partnerships with technology stakeholders across Collins Aerospace, our customers, and internal teams to drive collaboration and maintain strategic alignment. The ideal candidate will possess the technical expertise and communication skills needed to ensure the seamless operation of secure systems and foster productive relationships with all stakeholders.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the technical and strategic management of novel research and development projects in the cyber physical security

  • Recommend new hardware for procurement and configure it when it arrives for use in secure areas following secure specifications

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 2 years of experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • 2+ years experience working in a classified lab environment

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
