Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Incident Responder (2nd Shift) to join a mission-focused cybersecurity team supporting the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) at the Hopper Global Communications Center (HGCC) in Suitland, MD. You will respond to and investigate cybersecurity incidents, contain affected systems, collect artifacts, and support recovery across TS/SCI networks.

Required TS/SCI clearance and 8+ years of related experience or Master’s with 6+ years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, IA or related field with 6+ years experience, or Master’s with 6+ years experience.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Extensive experience in the Computer Network Defense (CND).
• Experience monitoring, analyzing, and investigating cybersecurity alerts.
• Experience with SIEM systems (Splunk, Elastic).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• Knowledge of penetration testing tools and red team tactics.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the incident response lifecycle: detection, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery.
• Respond to escalations from Tier 1, conduct spillage response and support TS/SCI networks (JWICS, ATLAS).
• Coordinate incident notifications via phone and email; prepare ESAFs.
• Monitor DLP outputs for classified indicators and spillage signals.
• Document timelines and maintain incident records; participate in reviews and exercises.
