Job summary

Deloitte seeks an Engineering and Product Engineer III for its Cyber Engineering team in the US. You will translate business and cybersecurity needs into technical solutions, including GenAI-enabled capabilities, and deploy them in line with client requirements and architecture.

You'll partner with stakeholders on pursuits, design solutions, build APIs and microservices, and contribute to reusable platforms.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of hands-on full-stack development across frontend and backend technologies.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, Next.js).
• Backend expertise in Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), or Java (Spring Boot).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB/Redis).
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and development lifecycle tools (Git, Azure DevOps).
• 1+ years building GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client/production environments.
• 1+ years with Frontier Gen AI Platforms: Claude API, Vertex AI, Gemini, etc.
• Understanding AI system architectures and aligning pipelines.

As an Engineering and Product Engineer III on the Cyber Engineering team, you will be responsible for:

• Translating business and cybersecurity needs into technical solutions, including AI/GenAI-enabled capabilities where applicable, and deploying them in alignment with client requirements and architecture

• Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues within scope

• Partnering with stakeholders during pursuits to shape technical solutions, including demos, proofs of concept, and prototypes

• Contributing to solution design and aligning client needs with delivery feasibility

• Capturing delivery learnings to inform reusable product and platform improvements while enabling client teams through documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer

Qualifications

Required:

• 5-8+ years of hands-on experience in full stack development across frontend and backend technologies.

• 1+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI/LLM-powered solutions in client or production environments

• 1+ years of experience with one of the following Frontier Gen AI Platforms: Anthropic, Google or Open AI, including hands on experience with one of the following key platforms/products; Claude API, Claude for Enterprise, Claude Code, Gemini API, Vertex AI Agent Builder, Grounding, Google Workspace integration, GPT-4o, Assistants API, Responses API, OpenAI Agents SDK

• Understanding of AI system architectures and ability to align application pipelines to support them.

• Ability to independently own defined scope end-to-end with consistent, high-quality output.

• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts, risks, and trade-offs.

• Strong accountability and ownership mindset in achieving client outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

• Ability to travel up to 20% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:

• Experience and/or certification with Anthropic is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts (e.g., application security, cloud security, identity, detection engineering).

• Experience with DevSecOps practices and secure software development lifecycle.

• Exposure to search/analytics platforms (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch) or graph databases (Neo4j).

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, GitOps, or advanced cloud-native patterns.

• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Basic familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Salary and Benefits

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $134,500 to $265,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
