QBE, LLC is a federal-focused technology firm seeking a Cyber Engineer - SOC Engineering Support. The role provides engineering, integration and automation support for NIH/OD-OIT security operations, primarily remote with some TDY.

You will engineer SOC tech, develop SIEM use cases, and assist during incidents. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in SOC environments, Security+ and SSCP, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS, IS, business, or related field; or 2+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in SOC engineering.
• Experience with technologies used in enterprise SOC environments.
• Strong understanding of security telemetry, logging, detection and monitoring.
• Security+ and SSCP certifications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain federal background investigation or security clearance.

Overview

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, information systems, business, communications, or a related field, or an additional two or more years of relevant experience in place of the degree requirement.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience aligned to the responsibilities of this position.
• Experience supporting technologies used in enterprise SOC environments.
• Strong understanding of security telemetry, logging, detection, and monitoring.
• Experience troubleshooting integrations and complex technical systems.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required federal background investigation, Public Trust determination, or security clearance associated with the position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence integrations.
• Scripting or automation experience.
• Federal SOC engineering experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer.
• Ability to communicate effectively through virtual and in-person meetings.
• Ability to perform duties in an office, remote, or hybrid environment based on program requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $105,000.00 - $120,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (for remote opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
