Job summary

Fuse Integration Inc. seeks a security-focused engineer to plan, implement, and test secure communications networks for DoD environments. The role emphasizes Linux systems, virtualization, and RMF/IA controls, with an active Secret clearance and US citizenship required.

You will work across planning, deployment, and troubleshooting, ensuring protection of DoD data and services, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 6 years equivalent experience.
• 6–8 years hands-on Cyber/IT experience.
• Experience with virtualized systems (VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V).
• Strong Linux knowledge and security testing.
• DoD IA and RMF experience; IAT Level 2 cert.
• US citizenship and active Secret clearance.
• Navy C4ISR knowledge desirable.
• Ability to work in a team and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and upgrades for security measures protecting DoD data and networks.
• Troubleshoot security and network problems.
• Respond to system or network security breaches.
• Protect data and infrastructure with proper security controls.
• Participate in the change management process.
• Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support planning, implementation, management, monitoring, and upgrades for security measures that protect Fuse and DoD data, systems, and networks
• Troubleshoot security and network problems
• Respond system and/or network security breaches
• Ensure that data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls
• Participate in the change management process
• Test and identification of network and system vulnerabilities
• Implement IA controls and ensure compliance with DoD RMF
• Work as a team throughout the design process, supporting sprint planning sessions, code reviews, and scrum

Requirements

We are looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information System, Engineering, Scientific or related Technical Field from an accredited college or 6 years equivalent experience
• 6-8 years of hands‑on experience in Cyber or IT role
• Experience with virtualized systems and administration (VMWare, KVM, Hyper‑V)
• Understanding of various wireless client tools to detect and resolve issues
• Hand's on experience configuring, testing, and troubleshooting firewalls
• Experience installing and maintaining network security protocols
• Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Linux Systems
• Experience with DoD IA and RMF frameworks
• DoD 8570 IAT Lvl 2 cert
• Working knowledge or experience with military networking systems and/or tactical data links
• Knowledge/experience configuring and troubleshooting communications applications (email, chat, VOIP, etc.)

Nice to have:

• Understanding of networking fundamentals including VLANs, subnets, protocols, and dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
• Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting wired and wireless networks

Salary Range:

$120,000- $160,000
