Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a senior cybersecurity engineer to design and implement advanced security solutions across complex networks in Maryland. You will lead efforts to secure configurations, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory cyber requirements.

In this role you will mentor and supervise team members, work with RMF/A&A artifacts, and leverage automation (PowerShell/Python) to improve efficiency and resilience while supporting DoD cybersecurity

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience in enterprise IT or mission systems.
• 5+ years implementing RMF controls, STIGs, or cyber-hardening across multi-vendor environments supporting ATO processes.
• Experience using eMASS or GRC platforms to document security controls and RMF artifacts.
• Experience with vulnerability management (ACAS/Nessus) and secure configuration baselines.
• Knowledge of DoW RMF, A&A, NIST SP 800-53, DoD policies and standards.
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT, or Engineering
• Security+ Certification

The Opportunity:

Design and implement cybersecurity engineering solutions, secure configurations, and risk mitigation activities across complex network systems. Ensure systems meet organizational and regulatory cyber requirements. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

You Have:

• 8+ years of experience with cybersecurity engineering supporting enterprise IT or mission systems
• 5+ years of experience implementing RMF controls, STIGs, secure architectures, or cyber‑hardening efforts across multi‑vendor environments, supporting system ATO processes, and creating artifacts, control implementation details, and POA&Ms
• Experience using eMASS or GRC platforms to document security controls, manage RMF artifacts, track POA&Ms, and support authorization activities, and developing or reviewing security architectures, system or network diagrams, data flows, security boundaries, and cybersecurity requirements
• Experience performing or supporting vulnerability management, including ACAS or Nessus scanning, vulnerability analysis, remediation, mitigation, and validation, developing and maintaining secure configuration baselines, and translating cybersecurity requirements into technical implementation and hardening activities
• Experience supporting DoW cybersecurity compliance and continuous monitoring, including security assessments, configuration compliance, vulnerability remediation, and risk management
• Experience with scripting or automation, including PowerShell and Python, to support cybersecurity engineering, configuration management, remediation, or compliance validation, and enterprise cybersecurity technologies such as ACAS or Nessus, SCAP, SIEM, EDR, or vulnerability management
• Knowledge of DoW RMF, A&A processes, NIST SP 800-53, defense STIGs, and DoW cybersecurity policies and standards
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT, or Engineering
• Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
