Job summary

HyundaiAutoEverAmerica is seeking a Cyber Security Defense Head of Department to guide the organization’s cyber defense strategy and operations. This executive will balance strategic leadership with hands-on risk management across SOC, IR, TVM, and AppSec, while mentoring teams and shaping security culture.

The role requires CISO-level expertise, strong communication with executives, and the ability to translate complex threats into actionable improvements for enterprise security and resilience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience across cyber defense disciplines (SOC, IR, Red/Blue, or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/IT/CS or related field.
• Strong knowledge of threat detection, incident response, adversary tactics (MITRE ATT&CK).
• Proficient in English for executive and operational communication.
• Ability to lead during high/critical incidents and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24x7 SOC operations across levels 1-3.
• Lead Red Team, Pen-testing, and threat emulation efforts.
• Own incident response program, tabletop exercises, and crisis management.
• Drive TVM, vulnerability management, remediation, and reporting.
• Lead AppSec program and secure SDLC collaboration.
