Job summary

Resource Management Concepts, Inc. seeks a Cyber Defense Incident Responder (Tier 2) to provide 24/7/365 monitoring and rapid response for government networks. You will conduct in-depth investigations, triage incidents, and manage responses end-to-end in a DoD environment.

The role requires 2+ years in cybersecurity, DoD familiarity, and active Top Secret with SCI eligibility. Expect 12‑hour night shifts and a strong focus on collaboration and training.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cybersecurity experience with incident response focus.
• Familiarity with DoD cyberspace environment and frameworks.
• DoD 8570 certifications are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate cyber incidents, analyze logs/artifacts to identify root causes and remediation steps.
• Perform incident triage to assess scope, urgency and impact.
• Manage incidents from detection to resolution, documenting actions per CJCSM 6510.01B.
• Conduct real-time forensics, threat analysis and direct system remediation tasks.
• Collaborate with subordinate orgs, law enforcement, and counterintelligence teams on incidents.
• Update incident response procedures annually and deliver quarterly training.
• Coordinate with Red Teams to validate IR capabilities via exercises.
• Maintain high-quality IR standards per government metrics.
