Job summary

Fives DyAG Corp. seeks a Cyber Defense Engineer Mid / PKI Engineer for a 06+ months contract, onsite in Irving, TX. You will manage enterprise PKI platforms, issue and renew certificates, and enforce cryptographic standards to support secure authentication across systems.

Requires 3-5 years PKI/infrastructure security, AD CS or equivalent PKI, and PowerShell scripting. Relevant security certs and cloud certificate management experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of PKI engineering or related security experience.
• Hands-on experience with AD CS or equivalent PKI platforms.
• Strong understanding of PKI, certificate lifecycle, SSL/TLS and X.509.
• Familiarity with HSMs and cryptographic key management.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity or related field; security certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise PKI platforms including CAs, RAs, HSMs, OCSP, and certificate enrollment.
• Issue, renew, revoke, and replace digital certificates for users, devices, servers, apps, and cloud services.
• Enforce PKI security controls, certificate policies, and cryptographic standards.
• Design and support automated certificate management using AD CS, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert, ACME, and scripting.
• Manage cryptographic key generation, storage, rotation, escrow, and destruction.
• Diagnose and resolve certificate-related issues affecting apps, websites, VPNs, and authentication.
• Develop PKI architecture diagrams, procedures, docs, and governance standards.
• Participate in security assessments, incidents, vulnerability remediation, and modernization efforts.

Immediate need for a talented Cyber Defense Engineer Mid / PKI Engineer. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Irving,TX(Onsite).

Pay Range: $50/hr - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain enterprise PKI platforms, including Certificate Authorities (CAs), Registration Authorities (RAs), HSMs, OCSP responders, and certificate enrollment services.
• Issue, renew, revoke, and replace digital certificates for users, devices, servers, applications, cloud services, and network appliances.
• Implement and enforce PKI security controls, certificate policies, and cryptographic standards.
• Design and support automated certificate management solutions using Microsoft AD CS, Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert, ACME, and scripting technologies.
• Manage cryptographic key generation, storage, rotation, escrow, and destruction processes.
• Diagnose and resolve certificate-related issues impacting applications, websites, VPNs, and authentication systems.
• Develop and maintain PKI architecture diagrams, procedures, technical documentation, and governance standards.
• Participate in security assessments, incident investigations, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure modernization efforts.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• 3-5 years of PKI engineering, information security, or infrastructure security experience.
• Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) or equivalent PKI platforms.
• Strong understanding of PKI, certificate lifecycle management, SSL/TLS, X.509 certificates, and cryptographic principles.
• Knowledge of HSMs and cryptographic key management.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Experience with PowerShell or other automation/scripting technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Security, CISSP, GSEC, or equivalent security certifications.
• Microsoft security or identity certifications preferred.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP certificate management services.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and modern authentication technologies.
