Job summary

RC Willey in Salt Lake City is seeking an IT Security Analyst to monitor, investigate, and respond to threats across enterprise, cloud, and Microsoft environments. You will leverage SIEM, EDR/XDR, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and incident response to safeguard our systems.

The role requires 3+ years in cybersecurity, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and with teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cybersecurity, security operations, or related field.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and endpoint security.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, PCI DSS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents across endpoints, servers, network, cloud, and business apps.
• Perform security event monitoring, threat hunting, and log analysis using SIEM, EDR/XDR, and monitoring tools.
• Tune security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, endpoint protection, and email security.
• Analyze and correlate security events to identify indicators of compromise and anomalies.
• Assist with incident response activities including containment, eradication, and post-incident analysis.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts and risk reduction.
• Support the security of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, cloud services, and hybrid infrastructures.
• Investigate phishing attempts and other cyber threats to determine impact and response actions.
• Develop and improve detections, alerts, and threat-hunting methodologies.
