Job summary

Cypress HCM is seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst (Contract) in Lehi, UT. The role focuses on analyzing and responding to cybersecurity alerts, conducting investigations to identify indicators of compromise, and coordinating with the CSIRT for containment and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and respond to cybersecurity alerts from multiple security platforms.

• Perform event correlation using information from multiple enterprise sources to improve situational awareness.
• Coordinate with CSIRT team members on containment and incident response activities.
• Maintain detailed case documentation and investigative records.
• Participate in rotational assignments across incident response, cyber threat hunting, and detection engineering.
• Identify opportunities to improve investigations, documentation, and security automation.
• Stay current on emerging threats, attack techniques, and cybersecurity trends.
• Collaborate with a global 24x7 Cyber Defense team, including periodic weekend coverage.
• Create, update, and maintain investigation process documentation.

Work Schedule

• Hybrid, 2 days onsite in Lehi, UT
• Wednesday through Saturday
• 4‑day work week, 10‑hour shifts
• 40 hours per week

Compensation
