Job summary

Citizens in Irving, TX seeks a Manager, Cyber Assurance to lead and mature the enterprise cybersecurity continuous control testing program. You will oversee strategy, governance, testing, reporting, and remediation across the control environment to improve resilience.

You will guide workforce planning, hiring, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. A strong leader with risk-aware mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
• 8–12 years of progressive cybersecurity experience
• 3+ years in people leadership managing cybersecurity professionals
• Experience assessing, testing, and validating cybersecurity controls
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, governance
• Experience developing and managing enterprise programs, governance, metrics, reporting
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, NIST standards, CRI Profile, and maturity frameworks
• Experience in large, regulated organizations and influencing senior leaders

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, governance, maturity, and continuous improvement of the Cyber Security Assurance Program
• Oversee planning, execution, and QA of control testing to validate design and operating effectiveness
• Define asset identification and assurance activities for critical assets
• Establish assurance methodologies, standards, and reporting
• Monitor threats, regulatory developments, and business changes impacting assurance
• Define and report KPIs and risk indicators for program performance
• Develop assurance reports and executive dashboards with actionable insights
• Ensure deficiencies and drift are remediated and validated
• Lead and develop a high performing team and mentor staff
• Collaborate with Technology, Risk, Compliance and stakeholders to align with priorities
