Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a Cyber Assurance Architect to lead information assurance efforts across diverse systems. This role provides technical leadership to ISSOs/ISSEs and collaborates with DoE and intelligence agencies to maintain program accreditation and security controls.

The successful candidate will guide risk assessments, implement RMF/NIST 800-53 controls, and travel as needed to support mission success. A DOE Q clearance and SCI eligibility are required to start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or relevant discipline plus two or more years of directly relevant experience.
• At least two years of ISSO experience and familiarity with U.S. Government cybersecurity programs.

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements with IA partners and IT teams.
• Integrate cybersecurity controls into existing and new tools/infrastructures.
• Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with security plans.
• Provide risk assessments and leadership recommendations.
• Analyze sponsor policies and align security solutions accordingly.
• Travel for job-related training, duties, and customer engagement as needed.
