Job summary

KONE Coal Valley, IL is seeking a CWB Welding Inspector Manufacturing Director to support the Weld Supervisor and Inspector, leading process improvements and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. You will provide technical welding support and drive improvements across manufacturing operations.

The role requires 5+ years of certified welding experience in a manufacturing setting and a high school diploma; a related associate’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of certified welding experience in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Experience interpreting welding drawings, specs, and quality requirements.
• Experience supporting continuous or process improvement initiatives.
• Experience performing weld inspections and evaluating compliance with standards.
• Working knowledge of welding procedures, quality requirements, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard work instructions, procedures, and training materials.
• Provide training and mentorship to welding personnel on inspection criteria and quality expectations.
• Support projects and initiatives that improve performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
