Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a full-time technician to build and test modules and systems through integration, calibration, and troubleshooting. The role involves preparing technical reports and supporting BOM management for production shipments.

Learn more about our benefits .May perform build and tests of modules and systems in the integration phase up to final system including calibration and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical modules. • Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. • Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. • Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. • Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. • May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment. • Responsible for the system on spec performance and final test quality. • May need to assist in Field installation /upgrade activity and system NPI. • May also be assigned to Focal Roles for Manufacturing support functions. • The Shipping, Receiving Totting (SRT) Focal is responsible for creating and maintaining the “As Shipped” Bill Of Materials (BOM) configuration for production shipments: o The SRT Focal creates BOMs which define how systems and Non Standard Orders (NSOs) are disassembled, packaged and toted for shipment. o Performs the creation of BOMs, maintenance of BOMs due to Change Request Forms and Egineering Specification Ws. o Collaborates with Project Managers, Manufacturing Technicians and Manufacturing Engineers in determining requirements for new parts and assemblies. o Collaborates with Shipping in refining and optimizing product shipment configurations. o Provides support for technical issues involved with SRT workstations and software operation. o SRT Focals are experts/ Superusers in the operation the AMAT developed SRT software. o They create and maintain the knowledge bases and models for the different products in SRT. SRT Focals must also have a strong knowledge of the ERP system to perform research on shipments and discrete jobs.Additional InformationTime Type:Full timeEmployee Type:Assignee / RegularTravel:NoRelocation Eligible:NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
