Job summary

Cactus Companies in Donora, PA is seeking a manufacturing assembler to perform a wide variety of tasks to assemble and test all company products.

You will inspect, align, and assemble components, read drawings, operate hand and power tools, and maintain quality and safety standards in an industrial environment. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and working around heavy machinery, with training provided and no supervisory responsibilities.

• Read and interpret assembly drawings or operation manuals
• Maintain and lubricate parts or components
• Remove rough spots and smooth surfaces to fit, trim or clean parts, and use of hand tools or power tools
• Perform other regular duties as assigned or requested.

Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

• Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations.
• Inspect, operate and test completed products to verify functioning and conformance to requirements.
• Position and/or align components for assembly, manually or using hoists
• Verify parts clearances and fit up
• Adjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions and to ensure proper operation.

This position operates in an industrial/field environment. The role requires working in and around manufacturing equipment, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous materials. While performing the duties of this job, the employee:

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
• Climb stairs and ladders
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
• Work in confined spaces when required
• Operate heavy equipment and power tools
• Perform repetitive movements
