Job summary

Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our surgical services department. You will support cardiothoracic and vascular procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and assist physicians to promote optimal patient outcomes.

This regular full-time role offers 4, 9-hour day shifts plus on-call requirements, with emphasis on continuing education and teamwork. We provide a comprehensive benefits package and competitive hourly compensation with evening,

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• National certification in surgical technology preferred.
• Five years of consecutive training/experience as a surgical tech.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• If Certified Surgical Technologist, current certification.

Compensation / Benefits

• $22.00-$35.93/hr. depending on previous work experience.
• Evening differential $2.00/hr.
• Night differential $2.50/hr.
• Weekend differential$2.50/hr.

We have 2 operating rooms, one traditional operating room and one hybrid operating room, for cardiothoracic and vascular cases located in the HealthPlex tower at Norman Regional Hospital. Norman Regional Hospital currently houses the largest hybrid operating room in the state of Oklahoma. Our nurses demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient new nurses to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area. Upon completion of orientation, nurses will be able to circulate cardiothoracic and vascular cases as well as a wide variety of other service lines. Qualifications

Education

• Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program, achieved national certification in surgical technology preferred, or five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech.

Experience

• Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program, or must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech, or LPN with one (1) year surgical tech preferred. National Certification is highly preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration/Professional Designation ETC

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
• If Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification.
• Current Oklahoma LPN license required, if applicable.
