Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK, is hiring a day shift, full-time CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join the Hillcrest Medical Center OR team. You will work under RN supervision and support the surgical workflow with sterile technique and instrument care.

The ideal candidate has NBSTSA certification, a valid BLS, and at least one year of experience. This role emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and adherence to hospital policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• High School or GED
• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current surgical technologist certification through NBSTSA.
• One year of experience as a Surgical Tech.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Providing nursing care activities in the Operating Rooms under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• The Surgical Technologist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, sterilization procedures, and basic anatomy and physiology related to surgical procedures.
• Assist the surgical team in accomplishing the plan of surgical care and use/maintenance of instruments and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with HMC Policies & Procedures and JCAHO regulations during procedures.
• Assist the Registered Nurse Coordinator in service-specific processes.
• Adhere to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
