Job summary

Trital Care in Rockford, IL seeks an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to join the Heart Team. This opportunity is 13 weeks in length and emphasizes hands-on exposure to robotic cardiovascular procedures.

The CVOR RN will provide perioperative nursing care, collaborate with surgeons and the Heart Team, and participate in robotic procedures as applicable. A 10-hour day shift with rotational on-call coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of CVOR experience.
• Robotic surgery experience required.
• Relevant Heart Team/cardiovascular surgical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, perfusionists, and Heart Team members.
• Prepare operating room and support cardiovascular procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection-prevention protocols.
• Participate in robotic cardiovascular procedures as applicable.
• Monitor and document patient care throughout perioperative period.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team.
• Respond to urgent/emergent Heart Team cases while on call.
• Follow facility policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
