Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for day shift in Shawnee Mission, KS. You will provide education, care, and discharge planning across medical-surgical units, with a focus on safety and compassionate care.

This role offers flexible contract assignments, guaranteed hours, and potential to convert to permanent staff within AdventHealth. RN license and BLS required; ACLS/PALS/TNCC preferred. Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate of $56.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• RN license required.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS/TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families from admission to discharge.
• Administer medications and monitor patient care.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures.
• Document care and discharge planning.
• Manage admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Respond to unit and hospital code situations.
• Maintain a safe and compassionate care environment.
