Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of recent RN experience in a cardiovascular operating room is required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
