LanceSoft Inc. in Texas is seeking a CVOR Registered Nurse to provide safe perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients.

The ideal candidate will have strong sterile technique and CVOR experience, and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary surgical team. Requires Texas RN license (or compact), BLS, ACLS, and 1+ year CVOR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Texas or a Multi-State Compact RN license.
• Nurses with Compact license must obtain Texas RN license within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year CVOR experience.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique and sterile field.
• Assist with cardiovascular surgical procedures and patient preparation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical site preparation for different procedures.
• Assess patients pre-operatively and identify clinical needs.
• Confirm patient understanding of the planned procedure.
• Participate in and complete the surgical time-out with the team.
• Provide safe, efficient perioperative nursing care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and staff.

Job description

• Department: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent
• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days/week OR 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week
• Hours of Operation: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• On-Call: Required
• Pay: $42.00 - $65.00/hour (Based on experience) + Benefits
• On-Call Rate: $5.00/hour
• Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case

• Commute Requirement: Must live within approximately 30 minutes of the facility

Position Overview

The CVOR Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care to cardiovascular surgical patients.

The ideal candidate will have strong CVOR experience, excellent knowledge of sterile technique, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of aseptic technique and ensure maintenance of the sterile field.
• Assist with cardiovascular surgical procedures and patient preparation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate surgical site preparation for different procedures.
• Assess patients prior to surgery and identify relevant clinical needs.
• Confirm that patients understand the planned procedure as appropriate.
• Participate in and ensure completion of the required surgical time-out with the perioperative team.
• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care throughout the perioperative process.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, nurses, and other members of the Surgical Services team.
• Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, adaptability, and professionalism.
• Serve as a clinical resource to the Surgical Services team.
• Promote patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Maintain accountability for delivering high-quality nursing care.
• Represent the nursing profession and organization positively and professionally.

• 2 dedicated cardiovascular rooms
• 1 Hybrid Vascular room
• Approximately 400+ open-heart procedures per year

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas OR a valid Multi-State Compact RN License.
• Nurses practicing under a Compact RN license must obtain a Texas RN license within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
