Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning.
• Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after surgery, maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with the surgical team.
• Assist surgeons during complex cardiovascular procedures by providing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and anticipating needs.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and support post-operative care and patient recovery as needed.
• Comply with all hospital policies, safety guidelines, and infection control protocols to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training relevant to CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) responsibilities.
