Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Surgical Technologist or Military Operating Room Specialist Course required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required in South Carolina.
• A current AHA or American Red Cross BLS Health Care Provider required.
• Minimum of 1–2 years CVOR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage instruments, equipment, and supplies for all surgical procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field while passing instrumentation during an invasive procedure.
• Perform appropriate counts with circulator before the operation.
• Assist in patient positioning and obtaining needed equipment.
• Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization.
