Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification through American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• NIHSS training can be obtained through various organizations and learning systems that offer courses from the American Heart Association.
• At least 1 year in cardiac stepdown or progressive care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The RN plans, directs, and evaluates nursing care for an assigned group of patients.
• Assessment involves collecting information to develop a Standard of Care and meet outcomes.
• Follow established nursing objectives, standards, policies and procedures.
• Initial assessments provide a baseline for future comparisons for individualized care.
• Ongoing assessment and reassessment to meet changing patient needs.
• RN ensures accurate documentation, supplies and operation of equipment.
• The RN educates peers, patients, and families; supports service excellence and a healing environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
