Job summary

tms is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) to provide specialized care to critically ill cardiovascular patients. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care, monitor hemodynamic and cardiac status, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements include an ASN (BSN preferred), an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and a preference for CCRN. CVICU/ICU experience strongly desired.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• Recent CVICU/ICU/CCU or critical care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, ventilators, and other critical care equipment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, vasoactive drips, blood products, and advanced cardiac treatments.
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Assist with the care of post-operative cardiac and vascular surgery patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
