Baptist Health - Central Alabama seeks a Registered Nurse for the third shift to supervise and coordinate nursing staff on a regular full-time basis. The RN will apply the nursing process for patient assessments, planning of care, and interventions while collaborating with physicians and allied clinicians to ensure continuous quality care.
Requirements include an active RN license and BLS; BSN preferred. ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC or other certifications may be needed by the assigned unit.

The Registered Nurse shall be responsible for the general supervision and coordination of activities of nursing personnel on shift, and during weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. The RN will utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions, and collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in planning and implementation of patient care. Additional duties may be assigned within scope of the role.
Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.
Active RN licensure required; BLS required. Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned.
Position requires sitting 20% of the workday, mobility 80% of the workday. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds. Requires clear diction and hearing sensitivity for phone or in-person conversation. Requires continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Works indoors, protected from weather, but subject to temperature changes and minimal noise levels. Exposure to computer work, electrical shock risk, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals and occasional radiation.
