Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular ICU RN with mechanical circulatory support experience for a night shift assignment in Worcester, MA. Active MA RN license is required, with conditional licensure accepted during pursuit of permanent licensure.

Responsibilities include supporting cardiac surgery and heart failure patients in CVICU, floating to other ICUs as needed, and working 19:00–07:30 on a 3x12 schedule. Epic EMR is used for documentation.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required (conditional license allowed while pursuing permanent licensure).
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Minimum 2.5 years of ICU experience with CVICU background.
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support devices (IABP, Impella, ECMO, VAD).
• Two professional references, at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher.

Responsibilities

• Care for CVICU patients post cardiac surgery and in advanced heart failure.
• Work night shift: 19:00–07:30, 3x12-hour shifts.
• Work every other weekend and holiday; floating to other adult ICUs as needed.
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and orders.
• Administer high-acuity meds and manage arterial/central/PICC lines.
