Job summary

St. Peter’s Health Partners is seeking a Registered Nurse for the CVICU in Albany, NY. This full-time night shift position is based in the St. Peter’s Hospital Cardiac Surgery Unit, an eight-bed critical care area providing post-operative and cardiac/vascular care.

The role requires an NY RN license, ASN (BSN preferred), ACLS preferred, and at least 1 year of RN experience in CVICU/critical care. The unit supports professional growth with mentoring and generous education funding.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience; CVICU/CCU experience preferred
• Ability to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care; effective communication (oral and written)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and care for patients with potential instability requiring life support
• Provide care ranging from routine meds to complex intensive monitoring
• Ventilator support and vasoactive infusions; may include VADs
• Participate in regionally supported critical care courses and orientation
• Professional development through mentoring and educational funding
