Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year recent CVICU experience or Kaiser CVICU course completed within past 12 months.
• California Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the health care team and delegate tasks with accountability.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care using the nursing process.
• Ensure plan includes multidisciplinary planning and education.
• Document nursing actions accurately and timely in the chart.
• Collaborate with physicians and team to discuss patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain patient safety, medication administration, and discharge planning.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to department goals.
• Support continuous quality improvement and unit education.
