Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, FL seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician to join our Day shift team. You will support nursing staff, assist with patient care, and help maintain a safe, clean environment in a high-quality acute care setting.

Responsibilities include following care plans, documenting procedures, communicating with patients and families, and participating in performance-improvement activities to uphold safety and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred.
• CPCT/A, CNA, or similar certification required or accepted.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.
• Assists in identifying patient needs
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $15.87 - $25.38
