Mittera Creative + Tech in Melrose Park, IL is seeking a skilled Cutter Operator to set up and run our cutting equipment on defined jobs. You will ensure dimensions align with specifications, adjust programs, and monitor quality throughout production.

Aufgaben

• Set up and adjust cutter machine per instructions and job requirements.
• Set up automatic cutting programs manually in cutter machine.
• Operate cutter machine and ancillary equipment to cut materials to size.
• Evaluate product quality and make cutting adjustments as needed.
• Review job tickets and plan workflows to meet specs.
• Maintain press sheet information with dates and counts.
• Monitor machine during runs to ensure specification adherence.
• Perform routine maintenance such as blade replacement, lubrication, waxing.
• Notify supervision of issues and process work orders for repairs.
• Prepare load flags for outgoing loads with next operation/destination.
• All other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• 1 - 3 years of previous cutting experience preferred
• Full comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos
• Effective communications skills with all levels within the organization
• Ability to use basic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, measurements and critical thinking, to solve practical problems
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to prevent errors and solve problems on all cutting machines
• Must have the ability to work effectively in stressful situations and meet stringent deadlines
• Be organized and able to plan, prioritize and follow through on projects assigned with minimal supervision
• Zund experience is a plus!

• Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending

• Must be able to access and navigate each department in the facility

Salary Description
