Responsibilities

• Regrind, recondition, and manufacture cutting tools according to SOPs, work instructions, and print specifications.
• Read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and sample parts.
• Determine dimensions, tolerances, setup requirements, and operation sequences.
• Set up grinding equipment and verify proper machine guarding before operation.
• Grind tools within specified print tolerances.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust controls as necessary.
• Inspect finished tools using precision measuring instruments.
• Complete inspection reports and document results accurately.
• Return tooling to designated locations after completion.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles.
• Assist with training and support of other team members when needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.

In This Role, You Will

Preferred

• Training or education related to blueprint reading
• Experience with industrial precision grinding equipment
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
• Previous manufacturing, machining, tool room, or grinding experience
• Experience training or mentoring others

Training & Development

• 12 weeks of hands-on training
• Direct mentorship with an experienced senior associate
• 100% inspection of completed work during training
• Development of specialized tool grinding and inspection skills

Work Environment

• Approximately 95% of time spent in the shop
• Fast-paced production environment
• Deadline-driven work
• Organized work areas utilizing 5S practices
• Occasional overtime available

Pay & Benefits
