Job summary

Mambo Seafood Restaurants in Houston, TX is seeking a Cutter to join our high-volume kitchen. The role focuses on preparing raw seafood, maintaining the display, and supporting the kitchen team.

You will follow the production chart, keep seafood fresh and properly stored, and uphold food-safety standards. English reading required; Spanish a plus. 18+ age and Food Handler Certificate required. Competitive pay and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and sanitizes cutting area.
• Maintains cleanliness of coolers, freezer, and seafood display.
• Assists the kitchen and performs additional duties as needed.

Summary

The primary responsibility of a Cutter is to cut, peel, clean and prepare raw seafood. Another important responsibility of the Cutter is to maintain the seafood display.

Physical Requirements

• Stands and walks on uneven, slippery, and/or wet surface for at least 8 consecutive hours.
• Routinely lifts, stoops, kneels, bends, pushes, and pulls up to 50 pounds, and reaches overhead.
• Routinely carries full service tray.
• Cuts, measures, and mixes food items in a wet environment.
• Performs moderately strenuous activity for at least 8 consecutive hours.
• Performs other physical requirements necessary to perform duties and responsibilities.
• Moderate noise, fast pace, high traffic, and high temperatures.
• Ability to tolerate ice and cold temperatures and cleaning solutions on a regular basis.
