Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking personnel for manufacturing tasks including trimming, scuffing, and reinforcing blade types. The role requires following evolving instructions, using pneumatic grinders, and applying adhesives to voids inside blades.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 40 lbs, stand on concrete, operate hand/power tools, and work both independently and as part of a team. Respirator use is required and a Lam I/II certification may be obtained.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or related experience required.
• Lam I and Lam II certifications are a plus but not required; practical may be required to obtain.
• Able to operate basic hand and power tools and heavy machinery.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and adapt as they change.
• Scuff laminate surface with pneumatic grinder to remove gloss.
• Remove laminate defects with pneumatic tools.
• Apply glue to voids inside and outside the blade.
• Adhere to confined space plan when inside the blade.
• May handle chemicals; wear PPE as required.
• Grind excess glass and resin inside and outside root end.
• Clean inside of blade from dust and debris.
• Maintain 5S standards and workplace organization.

Job description

Perform a variety of tasks to trim, scuff and reinforce all blade types

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and adapt to the work instructions as they change.
• Scuff laminate surface with pneumatic grinder. (Take the gloss off)
• Remove laminate defects with different pneumatic tools.
• Apply glue to areas that have voids (inside and outside the blade).
• Employees working inside the blade must adhere to confined space plan.
• May work with variety of chemicals.
• Grind excess glass & Resin inside and outside the root end.
• Clean out inside of blade of dust debris.
• Wear designated personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain 5s standards.

Requirements

• Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull heavy objects.
• Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Ability to work with hands for an extended period.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Requires usage of respirator.
• Lam I, Lam II certifications (not required - must complete practical to obtain)
• High School Diploma/GED or related experience.
• Previous Manufacturing experience.
• Position Shift: Mon-Fri 10pm-6:30am
• For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the base pay for this position is $22.88-$27.50.
