Tenaris in Bay City, TX is seeking a Cut Off Control Technician I- BP to support inventory reception, cutting and control of bars, billets or pipes, and to assist the cut-off operation in a safe and efficient manner according to procedures.

The role emphasizes adherence to health, safety and environmental policies, quality compliance, and proactive participation in continuous improvement activities. Training and operational maintenance support are expected as part of daily duties.

Night Shift Premium (for overnight shifts): $1.50 in addition to base rate.

Purpose:

Performs the operation of receiving, cutting and controlling bars, billets or pipes inventory and assists the cut off operation, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Commit to health, safety and environmental policies and notify situations that present potential risk.
• Ensure product quality complies with defined standards and reporting deviations.
• Carry out duties in an efficient manner meeting productivity and efficiency standards in accordance with minimum costs.
• Perform activities according to applicable procedures.
• Complete and update all applicable records ensuring information accuracy and product traceability.
• Ensure proper use of the company assets, detecting and reporting malfunctioning.
• Attend and collaborate in training activities to maintain and increase company knowledge.
• Proactively suggest improvements and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain a clean and ordered workplace.
• Perform activities understanding their consequences on the global process.
• Abide by Tenaris discipline norms.

Main Activities:

• Controls material reception.
• Carries out material loading.
• Cuts bars or pipes.
• Controls bar and billet inventory in yards.
• Identifies casting changes.
• Assists machine lock outs and tag outs and does operative maintenance (cooling fluid, machine adjustments, etc.).
• Updates information in the tracking systems and records the obtained results.
