Job summary

Expeditors International in the United States is seeking a Customs Brokerage Agent for night operations. The role focuses on receiving import documents, logging files in Expeditors’ system, and transferring data from commercial documents to the company system.

You will ensure accurate pre- and post-entry compliance with Customs regulations, work toward KPIs, and grow within a Fortune 500 logistics leader offering strong benefits and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

Operations

• Focus on receiving import documents, Logging a file in Expeditors’ system, and transferring data from the commercial documents to Expeditors’ system.
• Ensure accurate and timely pre and post entry requirements from inception to processing an entry with Customs.
• Meet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer policies / requirements.
• Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency.
• Oversight and execution on all customer standard operating procedures via the DLSOP.
• Work with the team on meeting KPI standards, as per department goals and metrics.

Hours: Sunday 8am-5pm and Mon-Thursday 5pm-2am - In Office

Support the departmentin the following areas:

• Daily execution of workflow and department metrics.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and governmental Customs organizations.
• Timely completion of items on learning plan(s) and Personal development plan.
